The employees of car manufacturer Opel have been suffering uncertainty about the future of their jobs ever since General Motors decided they may be selling Opel. To motivate the discouraged Opel staff, rock singer Liza adapted her song “Gebt nicht auf” (“Don’t Give Up”).

The 63rd International Automobile Exhibition (IAA) in Frankfurt proves a success despite the surrounding financial crisis. With a total of 100 world premiers, the car industry took the opportunity to show off their new innovations on the world stage, focusing especially on electric and hybrid vehicles.
