In this episode of our journey through time, we meet the Neanderthals, who roamed the European continent for around 65,000 years before disappearing almost without a trace. They lived as clans of hunter-gatherers, and knew how to make tools and fire.

In order for zoo animals to stay healthy, their skin, hooves, and horns need regular upkeep. In this video we visit Safariland Stukenbrock, where zookeepers care for elephants, rhinos, and bison – and develop special bonds with them through the grooming rituals.
