The next stage of our journey through the Alps takes us to the Chiemgau region in the far south of Bavaria. Here lies the beautiful Lake Königssee, which cuts through the mountain landscape like a fjord. In this video, we also learn how the Watzmann—a mountain surrounded by many legends—got its name.

West of Graz, Piber Castle is home to the world-famous Lipizzaner horses. Here, the young stallions of the Spanish Riding School spend their youth before later moving on to Vienna to perfect their art.
