Sören Jasper goes to the fish stand at the Marnow campsite to do a bit of snooping around. He tries to strike up a conversation with the regulars, who knew Beck but mainly give him a hard time.

A dead fox on the road gives Lona and Elling new ideas about the motives of two different perpetrators. Jasper tries to learn more about Beck in a casual conversation with the Benders over a plate of smoked eel. Meanwhile, Peters, who followed Lona and Elling, identifies himself as an LKA investigator at the campsite and tries to get information about the current state of the investigation.

Peters manages to find out the current state of the investigation from Lona and Elling, but he doesn't reveal any information himself. Elling is suspicious, so he calls the Schwerin Criminal Investigation Police Office to check if everything is above board.

In the first part of the new episode, there is initially a recap of what has happened so far. Lona and Elling are sitting by the lake and talking when Elling receives a call from Böhm.

Jasper encounters a pastor in the cemetery and strikes up a conversation with him, asking a few insinuating questions. When Jasper continues his walk through the cemetery, something unexpected happens.

When Elling visits his mother at the care facility, he makes an astonishing discovery: Her memory performance has greatly improved! The reason for this is a medication that is still in the testing phase. The manufacturer? None other than Santovaal.

Elling gets a bug from Forensics to listen in on his wife. When she leaves the house again in the evening for an exclusive interview, Elling follows her. Will his suspicions turn out to be correct?

Susanne and Benedikt are lying in bed together, and Elling is listening in on their conversation. Lona returns to the camper after a long swim in the lake and wonders where Jasper is. Finally, the phone finally rings, but it's not Jasper on the other end of the line...

Elling is eavesdropping on his wife and Benedikt, heartbroken, when Lona calls with urgent news: He needs to go to Marnow immediately—Jasper’s been kidnapped.

Elling goes to search the apartment, but is suddenly struck down from behind. The unknown assailant then starts a fire, which spreads quickly. Meanwhile, in Marnow, the search for Jasper is in full swing, but so far unsuccessful.

Elling is in the hospital, and doesn't know what to say to Susanne when she visits and expresses her concern. When Lona hears what happened, she also comes to visit and discuss what has happened.

Lona and Elling arrive at the old church and look around. They meet Pastor Rilling, but he cannot provide them with any information about Jasper's whereabouts. Meanwhile, the police question the campsite residents, but they don't have any useful clues either.

Peters discovers the money in Lona's trailer and realizes that he has the upper hand. In the scene that follows, it is revealed that he's not only an unpleasant character, but a truly violent and repulsive human being. Please view with caution.

In the last part of this episode, Lona takes revenge and suffers a nervous breakdown. But her loyal colleague Elling is there for her. We also see a preview of the next episode. It's going to be exciting—stay tuned!

Having been shot, Peters is lying on the ground, groaning, pleading, and fighting for his life. Elling cannot bring himself to shoot him, so Lona plants her gun on Peters and loads him into her camper van.
