How does Matthis feel about living in a coma? Can he see any upsides to it? An interesting conversation develops between the two men, but Schotty suddenly has to break it off because he has a rather mundane need.

Matthis begins to despair when he notices that the feeling in his eyelid has suddenly gone. Schotty tries to distract him with a story.

With the help of Schotty's narration, the two men turn Matthis's mind into a less frightening and more joyful place. But Schotty slowly realizes that he's not going to be there much longer.
