In German, the difference between die Anweisung and die Anleitung lies in the tone and purpose.

Die Anweisung is an instruction or order given by someone in authority, often meant to be strictly followed.

Der is über 'n Headset mit 'm Piloten verbunden hier und kriegt von dem die Anweisung, was zu tun ist.

He's connected to the pilot through a headset here and gets instructions from him about what needs to be done.
