Have you heard of the "Reinheitsgebot?" In 1516, the Duke of Bavaria decreed that no beer should contain anything more than barley, hops, and water. These ingredients, with the addition of yeast, led to worldwide success for German brewers. But these days some brewers would like to see more diversity through the use of new ingredients.
