The little detectives track the villains to their lair, and are a step closer to figuring out their motives!

Nina has to move to Italy with her family and has had a hard time saying goodbye to Max and her friends. Suddenly, the Peppercorns have a pickpocket to catch.

Anton, the son of the ship's captain, comes to stand up for Niklas. But the police are not convinced of his innocence until Luis draws the policeman's attention to something...

Luis wants to catch the suspected thief, but his mother prevents him from doing so. Nina is upset by Max's behavior and Max's grandma tries to comfort her. Jada turns up at Jessi's family's home and has a proposal...

In this segment, we find out that the thieves are in a very desperate situation. Meanwhile, Nina is heartbroken, and Max doesn't know how to face the fact that she's leaving town. Additionally, Jessi is annoyed with Luis, who is now spending all his time with Ceyda, the girl from the ferry.

Luis can't stop thinking about the case. In the morning, he has found the solution... In the meantime, father and daughter set about retrieving the loot from the ferry.

Our heroes are back on board the ferry looking for the thieves. Just as they are about to give up, they notice some unusual behavior. Are they on the right trail?

The thieves are finally caught and now Nina and Max have to say goodbye... or do they?

In the first episode of Season 9 of Die Pfefferkörner, Emma is the only one of the pre-teen detectives left at school. Will she be able to keep the group going?

When a wallet goes missing in the girls' locker room, the girls immediately blame Nina, who is new at the school. Luckily, Emma and Max are already on the case.

Nina's first day at school really isn't going so well, but she rejects Emma's help and doesn't tell her father what happened. Meanwhile, Emma's dad settles into their new apartment.

When it becomes clear that his nephew Henri can't stay on his boat, Jan brings him to Emma's father, Hannes. Emma, however, is not happy to find that a guest has taken over her space in the attic – which also serves as the Peppercorn headquarters.

After a second wallet is stolen, everyone becomes even more suspicious of Nina. Max is still convinced that she didn't steal anything, and while he and Emma are in math class, Henri stands watch outside the gym.

Henri and Emma finally chase down the thief – and prove that Nina didn't steal any of the wallets.

After the Peppercorns wrap up the case of the stolen wallets, Max sets off on his bike to his grandmother's food truck – and has an unfortunate encounter along the way.
