Wolfgang Paschke stops by the house to say hi to his wife and finds his son in the middle of a snowball fight. Unfortunately, he has to go back out again.

Paschke has some trouble at the bank and we get the impression that he is experiencing some financial problems.

After Paschke leaves the bank, it is robbed by two men who then proceed to leave what they stole in Paschke's car.

After liquor is secretly added to his beer at the bar, Paschke runs off the road on the icy drive home and is caught by the police. Meanwhile, there are no leads as to who the bank robbers may have been.

Paschke is questioned at the police station and then lies to his wife about how his night ended.
