Who doesn’t like vacationing in beautiful and fascinating countries – like those of Southeast Asia, perhaps? Tourism is an important economic factor for many developing and emerging economies, but it can often also create problems for the environment and the local population.

Part 2 highlights the negative aspects of tourism, but also shows ways in which tourists can contribute to the local economy and travel more sustainably overall.

In the floodplain forests and swamps of the nature reserve, there is an abundance of beautiful and rare plants. The population of ibexes is also thriving once again.

In the second part about summer in wild Switzerland, we see golden eagles, marmots, and the rare Danube salmon. In particular, we get a good sense of the hard fight for survival in this beautiful paradise.

Along the Anterior Rhine, the day begins with feathers, fur, and fine fibers. Among bathing birds, furry newcomers, and artful nests, nature prepares for autumn—with guests who stay and those who only briefly linger.

Many forest dwellers are already preparing for the cold season. We see marmots and many rare bird species that make Switzerland a magnificent natural spectacle even in late summer.

The full moon transforms the white mountain world along the Bernina Pass into an enchanting landscape. The Rhaetian Railway takes you on an extraordinary trip at night. Enjoy!
