You may know the story of "The Tortoise and the Hare," but do you know about the race between the hare and the hedgehog?

For the rabbit, winning is all that matters, to the extent that he compromises his own safety! Meanwhile, the hedgehog is taking things extremely slowly, perhaps having forgotten about the race altogether.

After the hare is freed from the trap by a benevolent old man, he continues on with the race despite his injured leg — but he can't escape the fear that he might have lost. Meanwhile, the hedgehog and his wife are having a beautiful day on the lake.

Jan from Munich tells us a whimsical winter story — loosely adapted from the tales of Baron of Münchhausen, the “Baron of Lies” — and carries us off into the Baron's world of fantasy and exaggeration.

Jan narrates another story based loosely on a tale by the fictional noble storyteller Baron Munchausen, a character created by Rudolf Erich Raspe in a book published in 1785. Here, the protagonist rides a cannonball over a besieged city.
