Marga meets Herr Ohrmann's daughter, who is studying law, and asks if she could get some legal help in exchange for teaching her how to cook.

Marga uses Herr Ohrmann's new BMW to get groceries and meets a nice stranger who—suspiciously—seems to know that the car is in trouble before the tailpipe explodes!

The dinner at Herr Ohrmann's home gets off to a rough start when his employee, Herr Schöller, starts behaving strangely, and Marga reacts in a way that is quite out of character.

Marga is very upset when she realizes that she has been working for the enemy. Ohrmann's daughter Olga tries to convince her to stay.

Marga is happy to move into the property's guesthouse with Olga, with whom she gets along quite well. The two decide to help each other with their problems with Herr Ohrmann.

Marga gets Dr. Gössel to confess that he tampered with Mr. Ohrmann's car. As it turns out, they have a lot in common...

Marga goes to the university library to try to study cases similar to her own against Herr Ohrmann. Later, she cooks him dinner.

Marga Engel gives Herr Ohrmann a new concept for how to deal with the existing tenants in an area he wants to develop.

Marga's new friendships continue to develop as she considers her options and tries to determine the best way to take down Mr. Ohrmann. At the same time, she has also begun to sympathize with him.

When the police come to search his house, Mr. Ohrmann entrusts Marga with incriminating documents. The window of opportunity is there, but Marga starts to feel quite unsure about the whole thing.

Marga confronts Mr. Ohrmann with her terms, but it may be too late for him to do the right thing and save himself.

Mr. Ohrmann tries to call to turn himself in, but the line is busy. Luckily, Dr. Gössel is determined to give him a chance.

Mr. Ohrmann admits to his wife that he also conned Marga, and tries to reconcile with his daughter. Marga realizes that Mr. Ohrmann going to jail also has negative consequences for her own life...

In one last attempt to save Marga's living situation, Ohrmann instructs her to find a little book in his office before his colleagues can get to it.

With Ohrmann in custody and his partners trying to take over, Marga scrambles to solve the company's problems.
