"Alle Vögel sind schon da" is one of the best-known German children's songs about spring. The lyrics were written in 1835 by August Heinrich Hoffmann von Fallersleben (1798-1874) and published in his poems in 1837.

"Fuchs, du hast die Gans gestohlen"("Fox, you stole the goose") is one of the most well known German children songs. A thievish fox gets a warning that stealing might result in his demise.

"Backe, backe Kuchen" is a popular German children's song. The lyrics can be traced back to a tradition in which a baker would signal that he was finished baking his bread so that the neighbors could come and use the warm oven to bake their cakes.

Pop singer Nena sings "La Le Lu," a well-known German lullaby.

This song about monkeys is well-liked by German children and appears in many books of children's songs.
