Elling bluntly confronts Brit, Benedikt's wife, about her husband's infidelity. But she already knows about it and seems to have come to terms with it. Meanwhile, at the campground, Lona shows a photo to a group of locals and gets some new information.

Jasper encounters a pastor in the cemetery and strikes up a conversation with him, asking a few insinuating questions. When Jasper continues his walk through the cemetery, something unexpected happens.

In the first part of the new episode, there is initially a recap of what has happened so far. Lona and Elling are sitting by the lake and talking when Elling receives a call from Böhm.

A dead fox on the road gives Lona and Elling new ideas about the motives of two different perpetrators. Jasper tries to learn more about Beck in a casual conversation with the Benders over a plate of smoked eel. Meanwhile, Peters, who followed Lona and Elling, identifies himself as an LKA investigator at the campsite and tries to get information about the current state of the investigation.

Lona suspects that she and Elling won't be left alone because of the money, Jasper returns with new findings from forensics, and Elling's mother has stern words for her daughter-in-law Susanne when she visits the nursing home.

Their colleagues have already gathered for a meeting when Elling and Lona get to work, and it's about the Special Operations Unit raid last night. Now they have to watch the footage from the parking garage's surveillance camera to try to identify the perpetrator...

Elling receives a voice message from Hans-Georg, whom he has commissioned to investigate his wife. The content is anything but reassuring! A little later, he is traveling with Lona on a country road and inquires where she has hidden the money.

Elling and his wife finally get a moment alone together, though he won't tell her what has happened. Meanwhile, Lona arrives at the campsite, where Jasper is already waiting for her.

The chase continues and ends in a terrible accident. Lona then returns the rental car and Elling picks her up, having escaped without being seen.

The money is handed over in the parking garage. Elling and Lona have radio contact, which is fortunate, because everything goes differently than expected...

Lona confronts Elling about his sudden wealth, and Elling admits that he has accepted a bribe and is now being blackmailed. At first Lona is furious, but she eventually calms down and offers to help.

Meier confronts Elling with the fact that their conversations have been recorded and that he can only prevent his career from being ruined if he hands over the investigation file to her.

When Elling arrives at the campsite in Marnow, he is surprised that Lona and Sören Jasper are already on first-name terms. Elling says that, in his opinion, there is nothing suspicious about Beck's presence at the campsite, which Lona finds puzzling.

Elling meets with the mysterious stranger at a restaurant, where he learns more about Beck's abuse of children. She hands him an envelope containing 20,000 euros, so he now finds himself in a moral dilemma...

Lona strikes up a conversation with the campsite owner, Elling receives an unexpected offer from a stranger, and Lona gives Jasper an official order to meet her in Marnow.
