Hilde and her brother speak tensely about the future of their store. Meanwhile, Nicki comes up with a very humorous trick to discourage Marvin from taking his police escort to school.

The team has a briefing to discuss how they will proceed with the two cases that have yet to be solved. Dirk learns more about Hilde's past.

Dirk sits down to dinner with his old friend Hilde, while Lothar and Katja stake out a dinner for singles.

Hilde tries to convince Dirk that her brother has been tainting the meat in their shop, but Dirk is too clever. Meanwhile, there's a break-in, but not at Katja's or Lothar's.

Dirk and Lothar are able to trap the second culprit. Later, Dirk learns that things are looking up for both Hilde and her brother.

Frau Starke finds a diary that reveals that her husband had an alibi, proving he couldn't have murdered Katja's father.

Joe tells Katja that her father actually committed suicide. The others back at the station are unable to find out any information about what happened to the weapon that night.

While Katja deals with the terrible news about her father's death, Lothar argues with Joe about how the situation was handled.

As they consider destroying the murder weapon, Lothar, Ben, and Katja go back to the scene of Katja's father's death.

When the autopsy records reveal that Katja's father couldn't have killed himself, the group realizes it is time to go after the murderer. Meanwhile, Nicki learns that her father is deceiving her.

Both perpetrators are caught in their respective crimes in this final segment, allowing Katja and Nicki to move on with their lives.

While Lothar, Dirk, and Nicki contemplate life and death at the station, Miriam's baby disappears from the hospital and is known to be in grave danger. Meanwhile, Harry and Henning try to get to the bottom of the mail theft case that has caused a dispute between two neighbors.

The team desperately searches for the young mother and her baby, who is in need of medical attention. Dirk is torn as to whether he should adopt Kutte, because he isn't sure he can afford it.

Miriam's mother confronts her about the baby and refuses to accept her decision to keep it, eventually kicking her out. Meanwhile, Harry begins to suspect that the building manager has something to hide...

Henning and Harry discover that Potowski did in fact steal the letters, then find him in grave danger. Dirk reaches a decision about Kutte, and Miriam realizes that trusting her father with her newborn was a very bad decision.

Kutte refuses to go to a shelter for the night. Miriam finally turns up at the police station looking for her baby, and they all head over to her father's... only to discover that the baby's no longer there.

Dirk goes to wake Kutte, only to find a very sad scene. Meanwhile, Harry and Henning wrap things up with the stolen mail incident.

As the whole precinct celebrates the safe return of the Miriam's baby, Dirk receives a surprising inheritance from Kutte...

Henning shows up at Harry's to discuss the problems he's experiencing in his relationship, and is disappointed when Harry expresses the same opinions as his girlfriend. Then the doorbell rings...

Henning finds a potential lead regarding the runaway boy's identity, while Petri turns up at his former workplace yet again – this time armed.

Katja and Dirk arrive in time to stop Mr. Petri's madness and bring him in to the station. Meanwhile, Lothar finds out the truth about their supervisor.

While Dirk bonds with the young runaway, Katja figures out what actually happened at the Harms company.

Petri's colleague is arrested, and Petri and his wife make amends. It's time for Julius, the young runaway, to say goodbye to Harry and go home – but Dirk has one last surprise.

Rosa's mother discovers the bruises on her daughter's arm and calls the police. Katja and Dirk ask Rosa about the course of events and the identity of the perpetrator. The answer leaves them speechless...

Katja and Dirk confront Henning regarding Rosa’s accusation. Meanwhile, Lothar tries to follow up on his internal assignment without his colleagues noticing – but then Nicki catches him in the act.

Lothar comes across some astonishing evidence in his hunt for the person who posted his call online. Meanwhile, Henning is suspended from the force, and Rosa seems to be getting closer and closer to her goal.

Dirk, Harry, and Katja speculate about why Rosa would make up such an extreme story about Henning. Henning himself wants to confront Rosa, but Harry stops him; meanwhile, Dirk and Katja pay Rosa’s absentee father a visit on his ship.

Lothar and Nicki find their suspicions about Commissioner Küppers confirmed. Meanwhile, Rosa's father shows up unexpectedly at the family home.

Before Lothar can confront Ms. Kuppers, she sends him and Nikki to check on Mr. Würfelkrütz, where something is amiss. Meanwhile, Rosa realizes that the seriousness of her allegations and tries to contact Henning.

As Mr. Ellwanger gets caught in the act, Henning decides to meet up with Rosa after all. But then Rosa's father turns up unexpectedly...

All's well that ends well! Rosa admits to having made up everything in order to get her father's attention, which means Henning can be reinstated; meanwhile, Lothar finally cracks his case.
